Gesture Drawing Class is a Chrome extension that runs timed drawing sessions on Pinterest. This policy describes how the extension handles information. It is written for Chrome Web Store users and reviewers.

Who this applies to

This policy covers the Gesture Drawing Class browser extension published on the Chrome Web Store. It does not cover Pinterest’s own products. Pinterest is a separate service with its own privacy policy.

What the extension does

After you install it and open Pinterest in Chrome, the extension can start a timed class from a still pin. Later poses come from related still images in your Pinterest session. The extension does not upload your pins, class history, or account data to a developer-operated server.

Information the extension handles

The extension handles the following, on your device:

• Settings you choose, stored with Chrome’s local storage: whether pin overlays are on, whether the on-page chip is shown, whether a pose-change chime plays, and your default class timing (image counts and durations).
• Last-class summary on the device: how many poses you did, how long the session ran, and whether you finished. It does not store the images themselves.
• Pinterest page content needed to run a class: pin identifiers and still-image URLs from the pin you start with and from related recommendations Pinterest already shows in your logged-in session. Ads, shopping, story, and video pins are skipped when they can be detected.

The extension does not collect your name, email, password, payment details, or Pinterest login. If you are logged into Pinterest, the browser may send Pinterest’s existing session cookies with requests the extension makes to Pinterest and Pinimg so related images can load the same way they do on the site. Those requests stay between your browser and Pinterest. The developer never receives those cookies.

How information is used

Handled information is used only to:

• Show Start class on pins and run the on-page timer overlay
• Load the next still reference from Pinterest related images
• Remember your class defaults and last-session summary

It is not used for advertising, analytics, or sale to third parties.

Sharing

The developer does not sell, rent, or share user data. The extension does not send class data to the developer. Image files are requested from Pinterest’s image hosts (pinimg.com) so they can be displayed in the class overlay.

Google may process install and listing data according to Chrome Web Store policies. Pinterest processes whatever you do on pinterest.com under Pinterest’s policies.

Storage and security

Settings and the last-class summary are stored locally by Chrome (chrome.storage.local) on your computer. They are not synced by this extension. Network requests the extension makes use HTTPS to Pinterest and Pinimg only.

Your choices

• Turn overlays off from the toolbar popup or Settings. That stops the Start class control on pins.
• Clear extension data in Chrome settings, or uninstall the extension, to remove locally stored settings and the last-class summary.

Children

The extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated. Continued use after an update means the new policy applies.
